I'm considering buying a mp3 cum video player. And I'd love to hear your opinions on what you think is good? I'd actually had my eye on the Creative Vision series, but my bro's advised me to check out the Itouch as well. As always, indecision is the keyword here so I'd appreciate anyone steppin in with their experiences or personal reviews.

Let me know what you think.

  1. creative has very good sound quality (i wud like to say unmatchable but i am not sure if it is, really). I strongly advice against iTouch. If you want to shell out that kinda money, go all the way and get an iPhone. I know you already have a phone but this, my friend, is an iPhone!

Good luck and as always, let me know if you are wondering what color to pick :D

  2. iTouch. Or if you really want to go out on a limb... get like a small sub-notebook!

  3. Creative series is the best mp3 player in the world, I have heard many saying this...

and personally i did not like the 'i' players much.. after hearing a demo especially.. I keep wondering about the global hype for them..

Or else I will advise you to go for a good phone, my favorite so far has been motorokr/Sony ericsson W series as they give good battery + amazing music/video

  6. Hey, What a co-incidence! I received an iTouch by FedEx few minutes back!! This one is a surprise B'day ( very very belated) gift from the hubby :)

  8. apple all the way!! i dont have any experience with the iTouch.. but iPod, YES! they are simply amazing.. if u r not too keen on video part, i would definitely suggest the nano - its very sleek n handy.. it would easily slip into ur pocket along with ur phone.. it does play video too, but the small screen is a turn-off when it comes to video.. the other video ones are generally slightly bulky and u would have keep recharging the battery.. but couple the ipod with a Bose noise cancelling headphones, and u have absolute bliss (but hell! the cost of those headphones is twice that of the iPod!) neways, my vote goes for the iPod...

  9. Ok. Really leanin towards itouch at this point. Just wonderin one thing- my roommate advices me against apple sayin It's hell to add songs and impossibl to delete them. Yes, he isn't very comp savvy, but nevertheless his words make me wonder- is it really that tough to remove or add songs?

  11. if u now to use itunes then there shudnt be a prob rosh... the secret lies in making up with itunes, which will say "i am having a headache" when u are all set for err.. the act...

  12. I would say it was hell (and i mean HELL!!) earlier when itunes was still in its nascent stage.. but the latest itunes help u add and delete songs with ease.. compared to the usual drag n drop procedure of other players, the only additional step in itunes is to add the song to the itunes library first (which isn't much of a problem now..)

  17. Philipps Go Gear is value for money. The sound isnt bad too, and you wont be tied to using a particular software all the time either. 2500 bucks for a 1GB model.
