MakemyHome - The Kids room: Freedom of expression

You will be alright, my child.
I truly believe that we do you a disservice by forcing our opinions upon you. Especially when you are young, you need to be able to experience things with that inquisitive nature that is inherent within you; one which sadly too many parents choose to suppress within the written pages of textbooks.
We want their kids to be doctors and astronauts, the next Bill Gates or Einstein. Sadly, they do not want them to be kids anymore.
For you, I give the gift of the dreamers vision - let the creativity and colours of life embrace you and may you be inspired by them.

The Alkemi decor door skin will give you just that, my child. What will appear kiddish to the stern adult, you and I know to be a treasure trove of ideas, don't we? Those grins are always there with you, even behind closed doors, letting you that you are never truly alone and that somebody always wishes you to be happy.
And what of those monkeys in astronauts' outfits and that girl sitting peacefully on the moon? What stories lie behind them? Allow your creative imagination to run wild. I will be there to find out your ideas when I tuck you in to bed tonight.

You will forgive me if I do not place terracotta and breakable lampshades in your room just yet. I care too much for you to allow a cut upon those young palms and feet. As a doctor, I know only too well how dangerous an inconspicuous object can be at any inopportune moment.
Am I going to be 'that dad' who will be over-protective and wrap you in bubble wrap every time you go off to play outside? Perhaps not. But rejoice because I will allow you the freedom to fight.
And since your mom is not gonna allow for a pillow fight every night, we will have to make do with some high class cushion fights, I guess! These Little India fine embroidered cushion covers were probably meant for a royal and regal setup... but then you are my prince and princess so it works out just fine for me. Now attack! Defend your side of the room! Release the yellow cushion missile!

Do let me know when you are tired after the battle has been won for the day. Before I carry you to bed, I need to make sure there is something resembling a bed, of course, after all the havoc you two have just created! The primary color themed Swayam Magic Linea Bedset with its prim and proper geometric design will lend some normalcy to the disarray all around the room, I hope. Its colours are bright enough to excite you while your eyes are open and yet comforting enough to lull the two of you off to dream land when you are ready.
Good night, my children... sleep tight.

Ah, so now that the kids are asleep, which room shall we visit next, my dear guest? We still have the

  3. A refreshing way of taking the prompt. All I could think of was "building" a home from a house after the wedding :) I love the colors and the choices.

    1. I think its important to have personal touches to your home... not just the standard 'by the books' placement of items and something that speaks out for who u are as well..

    1. Its an old complaint about my writing actually :) That I write exactly the way I speak... I hardly ever bother to spruce up the vocabulary or add big words in my prose.
