Yenepoya doctors friends love beach sunset

Author's note:
This is my take on The Moving Quill's "From 15 to 50" prompt where we have to write a flash fiction between 15 - 50 words, based any one of the 3 prompts provided ( check them out here).
For the record, the picture contains 42 words. More poignantly for me, it is a picture of my first batch of medical students having fun at the beach. I think everyone deserves to have that one memorable picture of them holding hands with their friends and facing the ocean waves, don't you? They have since gone on to become anaesthesiologists themselves and are presently working in various parts of the world.

    1. Thanks Nisha... I wish I had taken one a decade ago when there was less flab and thus less exertion required against gravity while jumping up in the air for such pics!

  3. If I had a dollar for every beach picture I have. Except in my beach pictures, instead of holding my hands my friends are just trying to dunk me in the see or fill me up with mud :D :D

Jokes aside, those words are really beautiful Roshan :)

    1. ah yes.. true friendship... where they are trying to kill you!
And thanks.. played around with a lot of words for a quote befitting this pic... finally decided to go with one which suited the present state of the people in the picture itself.

    1. Glad you liked it... it was a fun memory for them. I'm sure they would have wanted it immortalised in some words, though I know some among them who would have done a better job at poetry than me :)

  9. Well, well, well, dear doctor :) All that drama about too few words ;) And you produce a gem like this one. Take a bow, or were you expecting me to say that? ;) The last line is the clincher, Roshan and the picture goes perfectly with it :)

    Thanks for linking up :)

    1. Haha... the whole idea of writing words on the picture itself was based on the students discussion that everyone had friendship day pics of people jumping in the beach and they too had pics like that of themselves so how was it they were not famous too :)
You saving it would be the culmination of that discussion...
