What Vitamin E brings to the table #Evion

Two words: free radicals.
The key to understanding the importance of Vitamin E lies in understanding the role of free radicals in your body.

Now normally, you and I tend to smile whenever we hear the word 'free' whether it is describing a product available in the market or our own mental state after an exam. Unfortunately the same happiness does not apply when talking about free radicals.

What are free radicals?

While they are formed by natural body processes within you, free radicals tend to break down and damage the normal cells in your body to make up for their own unstable molecule, thus shortening the life span of normal cells.
You need anti-oxidants that donate their own electrons to free radicals and thus make them stable again.

While they are formed by natural body processes within you, free radicals tend to break down and damage the normal cells in your body to make up for their own unstable molecule, thus shortening the life span of normal cells.

And guess who is a natural anti-oxidant? Yes, Vitamin E!

Fat soluble so your body can store it and use when necessary, Vitamin E is available both in your natural diet and also in supplements (India's top Vitamin E dietary supplement is #Evion)

Organs affected because of these free radicals vary from the more visible (skin, vision and hair loss) to the far more insidious (brain cells, hormonal imbalances and the heart). This can manifest as premature aging, wrinkles, heart disease, balding and even Alzheimer's.

Vitamin E is your policeman-to-the-rescue.

Seriously, the vitamin surfs through your body, neutralizing the effects of free radicals. Thus, you actually find the signs of premature aging and hair issues slowly getting reversed with the daily application of Vitamin E.

A fun aspect of these Evion supplements is that you can actually use it in so many ways: creams, tablets and capsules. You can choose any of these options:

  1. Apply a cream containing Vitamin E and aloe vera over your body for healthy, moisturized skin.
  2. Vitamin E- aloe vera based creams also come in handy if you are worried about stretch marks following pregnancy, weight loss & gain or want a smooth flawless complexion.
  3. Vitamin E stimulates production of collagen and is thus a good option if you are suffering from sun burns too.
  4. Hair oils containing Vitamin E is a great way to prevent premature graying of hair.
  5. Applying Vitamin E oil directly to chapped lips for a luscious, soft feel again.
  6. The same funda applies to cracked feet where you apply it directly on to the cracked heels.

Yes, you can get your daily dose from a good diet, if you choose well from the food items mentioned below.

I personally get my dose of Vitamin E from easily available, tasty food options that include shrimp, spinach, mangoes, red bell peppers, almonds and broccoli.

The advantage of supplements like Evion is of course, being able to ensure you have the right amount in your body while also being able to apply it over specific 'concern areas' of your body.

So take a healthy decision and choose to add Vitamin E in your diet. You will be surprised by the transformation that occurs, both within your body and on your skin as well.

  8. Oh I LOVE this post, Roshan. Especially that cute graphic in the beginning to help explain the role of Vitamin E :D Even a child can understand it.

I've used Evion during pregnancy and it helped to some extent with stretch marks, but not made a conscious effort after that. Need to study up a bit more on the health aspect and see if I am incorporating enough in my daily intake.

While this is a post conveying such important information, it is so delightful to see the way you have explained things. I use vitamin E capsules regularly. Just to moisturize or in my hair. It works wonders! But the best way to get it is through food. Healthy and delicious! What's to complain!

Awesome post, Doc! Think about being that pediatrician though ;)

  19. I am not saying I have the best skin of all. I do get occasional breakouts. But considering my daily routine (driving more than one hour every day on a two-wheeler in Bangalore traffic and pollution), I can safely say that I have good skin. You can find so many DIY masks and scrubs to give your self-luxury treatment.

Again, all this is not magical solution for skin and hair problems although we do expect magic. Everyone is different and underlying cause of problems can also be different. So please don’t expect that over night everything will change, if that was the case then no one would ever have bad skin and no one will lose hair. But having proper E should help improve the nourishment.

Thanks for the article; its really helpful and informative.
