Let Sleeping Dogs Lie #WordlessWednesday

6 years ago, this week, Snoopy came to our house during a very troubling phase of our lives. The kind of joy and selfless love he has brought did not just turn the emotional tide within our homes back then but even today, remains the light that brightens the lives of all of us.

My sincere advice: At least once in your life, find space in your heart to look after and love a dog. The selfless love you get back is simply unmatched.

He also tends to fall asleep on the couch when there is a cricket match on.

This, incidentally, was his first bed at our home. As you can see from the pictures above this one, he upgraded over the years!

He is too proud to sleep on our laps like this anymore! Hoity toity dog!

Let me know what you think.

  1. Aww! Snoopy is such a cutie. I have been seeing his pictures over the years and he is adorable. We have had dogs on our farm and I know how they enriched our lives. Though my boys are crazy about having a furry baby at home, but my OCD for cleanliness and travel schedule stops them. One day, we will...

  3. So, so cute! I've never been much of a dog person but...who knows, maybe one day.

  4. @shilpa, I know quite a few people who have said the same... the OCD for cleanliness being a deterrent. I would always say give dogs a chance :) Love over OCD!

  9. Gorgeous photos! He's such a cutie! I'd add to what you've said by saying not just a dog but a pet in general - they are so therapeutic and love you unconditionally. Even cats.

  10. Welcome back to #WordlessWednesday Doc!

Wonderful to see more of Snoopy, after all I can never ever tire of our pet friends. Incidentally this week my post is on my fish friends.

This is one of the best pieces of advice I have heard in a long time. I hope more people awaken to these valuable words.

Lots of love and pawsome hugs to Snoopy from Mishka and Laila and yours truly. :)

  11. So cute! Snoopy is such a cute member of your family. I would love to have a dog at home someday. I just don't know how to do since both VT and I stay alone and I would not want our dog to be alone when we are out at work :(

  14. Natasha, I hope so too.
More people need to have some selfless love in their lives right now and for me, that would always be a pet

  15. Parul, that is one major problem for many... not having anyone at home when you go to work. I know quite a few families with the same issue.
